Meta Emphasizes India as AI Development Hub

Meta's vice president for India and Southeast Asia, Sandhya Devanathan, said on Jan. 28, 2026 that India is uniquely positioned to lead AI adoption and development, backed by nearly 800 million internet users, the world's second-largest developer base and the third-largest startup ecosystem.
