John Waters Receives Frameline Award At Castro

John Waters will receive the Frameline Award on March 17 at the Castro Theatre, bestowed by Frameline to honor major contributions to LGBTQ+ representation; the award had not been given since 2019. The presentation will open Frameline's 50th anniversary season with a screening of Waters's 1994 film Serial Mom accompanied by live commentary from Waters and Peaches Christ, and the Frameline Film Festival returns to the Castro on June 17.
