Idaho National Laboratory Applies AI To Accelerate Reactors

The Idaho National Laboratory and NVIDIA announced a partnership under the Department of Energy's Genesis Mission Prometheus program to apply AI to nuclear reactor development, aiming to halve build timelines and cut operating costs by more than 50%. The effort will use AI-powered digital twins, generative models, and DOE leadership-class supercomputers to validate designs and licensing pathways using INL facilities and historical data.
