ICAI Launches Carbon Emission Calculator Nationwide

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has launched a Carbon Emission Calculator, introduced in July 2025 and now being scaled nationwide under its 74th president D. Prasanna Kumar, who assumed office on February 12, 2026. Designed for SMEs and individual businesses, the tool measures greenhouse gas statements to support SEBI-mandated Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting, enable assurance, advise on carbon taxes and align firms with India’s net-zero-by-2070 goal.
