Google Integrates Gemini 3 Pro Into Search Overviews

Google announced in a December 2025 blog post that its AI Overviews feature now routes complex search queries to Gemini 3 Pro, its flagship multimodal model. Originally launched in 2024, AI Overviews will use targeted routing to invoke Gemini 3 Pro for layered topics, leveraging a 1,000,000-token context window and multimodal inputs to improve reasoning while priority access is reserved for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
