Financial Institutions Scale AI Across Core Operations

Finastra’s Financial Services State of the Nation 2026 report (published Feb. 11, 2026) finds near-universal AI deployment across banks and financial institutions, with only 2% reporting no AI use and 60% expanding capabilities over the past year. Institutions expect security spending to rise about 40% in 2026, and prioritize AI-driven personalization, agentic automation and technology modernisation, with 87% planning upgrades and over half partnering with fintechs to scale AI.
