CNCF Establishes AI Conformance Program For Cloud Native

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) is extending its conformance efforts to agentic and generative AI infrastructure, CNCF CTO Chris Aniszczyk told The New Stack ahead of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe on March 23–26 in Amsterdam. CNCF highlights Kubernetes features like dynamic resource allocation for GPUs/TPUs, and wants vendor-neutral standards for AI workloads. The group also promotes projects such as Metal³ and OpenYurt for bare-metal and edge deployments.
