Claude Builds Home Assistant Smart Home Dashboard

Anthropic's Claude Code helped a reviewer migrate and configure a complex smart-home setup into Home Assistant in one afternoon, transferring about 70% of devices and creating automations. Using the Claude desktop app and Model Context Protocol in Chrome, the AI generated YAML, integrated bridged devices, and produced a usable local dashboard after iterations. The experiment demonstrates LLMs can accelerate home-automation deployment and dashboard creation.
