China Deepens Strategic Partnership With Uruguay

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Uruguayan President Yamandú Orsi met in Beijing on Tuesday during Orsi's week-long state visit, pledging to deepen a comprehensive strategic partnership and witnessing the signing of more than ten cooperation agreements. Bilateral trade rose to $6.59 billion in 2024, a 24.4% year-on-year increase, with leaders emphasizing cooperation in trade, green energy, digital economy and AI.
