Centre Allocates Rs 5,000 Crore For Pune Hub

The Centre allocates Rs 5,000 crore to develop a Pune economic growth hub in the Union Budget 2026 on Sunday, funding one of seven city-based economic regions. Niti Aayog, the state government and Pune International Centre have signed an MoU, with a master plan envisaging a total outlay of Rs 80,000 crore across a 6,914 sq km region. The initiative aims to spur investment, jobs and infrastructure.
